Action Against Hunger-Horn and Eastern Africa is part of the Action Against Hunger International network, which provides humanitarian relief in over 40 countries worldwide in the sectors of nutrition, health, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and food security. Action Against Hunger Horn and Eastern Africa is an independent NGO, currently managing operations in Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Uganda. Action Against Hunger-USA has over $60 million in programs, and approximately 2000 staff based in New York City, Washington D.C, Nairobi, and country offices. Additional growth is anticipated.
I.Summary of position
The Finance and Information Management Intern/Volunteer will work with the Regional Finance Specialist and Regional Grants Advisor, supporting in the day to day analytical, MIS and statistical works, and any required follow up with respective country teams
II. Essential job roles
1. Support to Finance functions
· Support to analyze countries BFU + forecast, and follow up with country team as required.
· ACF Working tools update - Shared cost tool
· Support in populating the ACF Financial, Log MIS systems with Country updated data
· Audit issues mapping tool updated and analysis done
· Reconciliation of award vision and Saga, pointing out any required, missing updates
· Donor receivables tracker review and update, pointing out any anomalies
· Any other duties as required
2. Support to Information management for Finance and Grants department
· Identify information and data requirements to support regional finance and grants departments, and support country offices in gathering and sharing this information and data.
· Updated finance data base for dash board update
· Ensure that the information on the Dashboard serves the needs of finance and grants specialists.
· Any other duties as required.
