JOB SUMMARY
Implement human resource management policies, systems, and processes and carry out HR administration in line with Tugende HR framework and statutory requirements.
The key principal functions of the Human Resource Lead will include:
- Participate in the review of organizational policies, systems, and procedures and provide technical support to staff and departmental heads in line with the Human Resource and Administrative policies
- To provide leadership and technical support to hiring managers to ensure a strategic talent planning and acquisition process such as resource planning, interviewing amp; selection, placement and induction.
- Manage the performance management process and tools from goal setting, analysis of reports and share data driven reports with recommendations for process improvement and performance decisions
- Manage and own the human resource information system for HR-related documents, reports and other employee related administrative tasks such as contract processing amp; renewal, benefits administration etc
- Implement the staff learning and development programs in line with Tugende’s objectives and procedures.
- Review on a monthly basis all the payroll in-puts and advise finance on any changes before salaries are affected.
- Provide an excellent employee life cycle experience at Tugende through effectively managing staff grievances, reported indisciplines, induction and other staff cultural related engagements such as company events, staff engagement surveys etc
- Review and implement staff welfare and benefits schemes in line with industry standards and approved internal company budget.
Requirements
Technical (knowledge and skills) requirements:
- MUST have strong analytical, statistical amp; database management, advanced Excel, report making skills and command of Microsoft packages and Google Suite.
- MUST have proficiency in using an HR management system
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) for recruitment
- Strong knowledge of Labour regulations and employment equity
- Understanding of general human resources policies amp; procedures and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Solid problem-solving and team management abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
Qualification and Work Experience:
- The applicant should possess an advanced degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Psychology, or any other related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Human Resource Manager in a large established and busy organization.
- Membership of an HR professional body such as MCIPD, SHRM, etc is an added advantage.
