Senior Accountant

We are looking for an ambitious Finance Professional to join our rapidly expanding business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help scale up the business and he will be responsible for monthly books closing and reporting, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting, manage end-to-end AP amp; AR function, perform account reconciliations, work with the consultants to meet all the statutory compliances and filing of tax incentive application, assist with the audit preparations, and perform other accounting duties.

• Able to prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Able to handle statutory compliances independently
• Take active participation in station procurement, obtain quote, identify local service provider, analyze and prepare cost evaluation sheet, process purchase order
• Maintain local database like list of contracts, records of payment made to comply local requirement and other records
• Able to generate and analyze financial report
• Maintain customer account statements and balances, prepare express account statement when customer vacates
• Prepare ageing report and monitor all receivables
• Conducts intercompany reconciliations
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls
• Able to file for required documentation with the Investment Promotion Center in Cote D’Ivoire (CEIPCI)
• Any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in Accounting (experience in Real Estate Industry is a value addition)
• Knowledge and application of local Tax laws
• In depth knowledge of Ivory Coast Chart of Account
• Able to communicate fluently in English and French

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ ERP

• Strong knowledge of IFRS amp; local laws

• Strong Analytical Skills
