This is a 3 month contract position
Nexleaf is a nonprofit technology company that partners with countries to ensure they have the data they need to build lasting solutions that improve the health of people. We are committed to transforming global health systems using data-driven insights. Nexleaf’s technology is in use in over 25 low and middle income countries across Africa and Asia, protecting and supporting the infrastructure required to get safe vaccines to 1 in 10 children born each year. We have built a team of curious skeptics, data lovers, forward-thinking computer scientists, and public health experts that are on a mission to rethink how life-saving solutions are designed and delivered. Through a feedback rich culture and a focus on iteration, our team collaborates globally to find lasting solutions for health systems around the globe. Partnering with leading organizations such as Google.org, Gavi, Qualcomm, and the Bill amp; Melinda Gates Foundation, we are focused on measurable and long-lasting impact.
Nexleaf’s ColdTrace remote temperature monitoring devices (RTMD) are installed in health facilities and vaccine stores to monitor the temperature of refrigerators, freezers and cold rooms, alerting health workers when temperatures fluctuate outside of the range that keeps vaccines safe so they can take action and protect the vaccines. Health workers can access the data from these RTMDs through the ColdTrace dashboard, which enables them to make decisions about how to maintain and improve the vaccine cold chain.
The RTMDs and ColdTrace dashboard require in-depth training with users at different levels of the health system to ensure the devices function optimally and the data is being used consistently for cold chain decision-making. Nexleaf works with Ministries of Health in low and middle income countries that face a number of challenges, including decentralized health systems and high staff turnover.
Nexleaf is seeking a Training Consultant to re-imagine how health workers are trained to use the RTMDs and dashboard, with a particular focus on evidence-based refresher/continuous training to address high staff turnover.
