Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Manager to oversee our Cooperative sector sales for fertilizer products. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration within the cooperative network.
As the Technical Sales Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for cooperative organizations, engaging with key stakeholders, including cooperative managers and members, to understand their unique requirements and offer tailored fertilizer solutions. You will utilize your strong technical knowledge of agronomy and fertilizers to provide expert advice and guidance, ensuring the optimal use of our products to enhance crop productivity and profitability for cooperative members.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on the cooperative sector, aimed at achieving sales targets and expanding market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cooperative managers and members, becoming a trusted advisor and reliable point of contact for their fertilizer needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of cooperative operations, crop types, and agronomic practices to recommend suitable fertilizer solutions that align with their specific requirements.
- Collaborate with cooperative organizations to deliver educational programs, workshops, and training sessions that promote best practices in fertilizer use and maximize crop yield potential.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment, timely delivery, and excellent customer service for cooperative clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes affecting the cooperative sector, providing insights and recommendations to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the cooperative network, aiming to expand our customer base and drive revenue growth.
- Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and presentations to senior management, providing updates on sales performance, market trends, and cooperative sector developments.
- Attend industry events, cooperative meetings, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility, build relationships, and identify partnership opportunities within the cooperative sector.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, agronomic research, and cooperative sector trends, continuously expanding your knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum qualification of a diploma in agriculture from a recognized institution.
- Must have experience in crop nutrition management.
- Must have a close working relationship with Farmers’ Cooperative Societies in Kenya.
- Experience in selling fertilizers will be an Added advantage.
- Must be able to meet monthly sales targets.
- Must have a self-drive personality.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
