About the Role:Apollo is seeking an experienced Regional Marketing Officer. These role will lead our marketing efforts in their assigned county for the duration of our Long Rains campaign season. The Regional Marketing Officers will play a key role in connecting Apollo to our current, and future customers on the ground through in-person events and activations.
These role will therefore be based in the respective Apollo counties. The contract term for this role: December 2021 until May 2022, with the option to extend based on performance.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Understand Apollo’s customer base in your region - how best to communicate with them, and highlight the value of Apollo’s products
- Own and manage Apollo’s brand on the ground, representing Apollo in marketing activations and customer interactions
- Support in planning and ensuring the success of our on the ground activations - roadshows, market activations, farmer events etc to drive awareness of the Apollo brand
- Drive awareness of the Apollo brand in your area, to increase farmer sign ups for Apollo products
- Maintain an awareness of relevant farmer events that can be leveraged to drive Apollo brand awareness and sign ups e.g. market days, barazas, trade fairs
- Collect useful information and data from the ground to support building of key insights to inform Apollo’s Marketing approach and competitive edge
- Build relationships with key regional stakeholders to support Apollo Marketing outreach
- Be a key member of the Marketing team, contributing your knowledge and expertise to Apollo’s overall strategy
You:
- Have 2+ years’ in field marketing activities
- Have a keen understanding of how Marketing works to drive sales, and how your role contributes to this
- Are highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Are a strong communicator, both written and verbally
- Are deeply familiar with the region you are in/applying to
- Are proficient in English, Kiswahili and the local language in your preferred region
- Are adaptable, creative, curious and eager to learn
