Job Description

Trócaire works in partnership with local organisations, supporting communities in over 20 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to bring about lasting change. Trócaire envisages a just and peaceful world where people’s dignity is ensured and rights are respected; where basic needs are met and resources are shared equitably; where people have control over their own lives and those in power act for the common good.

The Global Support Office in Nairobi works with staff and partners in the region to bring about positive and lasting changes in people’s lives. Currently, integrated programmes that include components in health, nutrition, education and protection are implemented directly and through local civil society partner organisations, funded by a variety of donors including FCDO, Irish Aid, European Union, UN, Caritas Internationalis members, Misereor, among others. Core to Trócaire’s approach in the region is civil society strengthening and organisational development.

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the MEAL component of Trócaire’s programmes (specifically in Somalia) in collaboration with partner agencies as well as ensuring that Trócaire continues to be a learning organisation and that we are accountable to beneficiaries, donors and other stakeholders.

SafeguardingChildren Policy:

Trócaire is committed to Safeguarding Programme Participants from Exploitation and Abuse and has specific policies on this commitment (including a Global Code of Conduct) which outlines the expected behaviour and the responsibility of all staff, consultants and other organisational representatives. Any candidate offered a job with Trócaire will be expected to sign Trócaire’s Safeguarding Policies and Global Code of Conduct as an appendix to their contract of employment and agree to conduct themselves in accordance with the provisions of these documents.
