Your RoleAs Assistant Manager, Brand Building Fuel, you will assist the Manager BB Fuel to develop customer-facing operational Brand Plans. This will include localization and amplification of regional marketing mixes for KOKO Fuel that make the brand more relevant (functionally, culturally amp; socially), easy (to see, to access, to find), and distinctive in Kenya. You will be responsible for KPIs such as market share, cooker and fuel sales growth, penetration, ALPC, ARPU, 28-Day Active Base, and Brand Health metrics as well as key initiatives in the 12-month Brand Plan. Local Insights:
- Assist the Manager, BB Fuel to uncover deep local market insights by partnering with Marketing Research to resolve knowledge gaps and create actionable business opportunities
- Assist the Manager, BB Fuel to review market research results to determine whether there’s a need for changes in our products and services.
- Stay current on market trends and competitor activity.
Strategy amp; Planning:
- Assist the Manager, BB Fuel to conduct brand audits, establish priorities and Customer Jobs to Be Done as well as develop a 12-month national Brand Marketing Plan for KOKO Fuel.
- Assist the Manager, BB Fuel to create strategic briefs and business cases for in-year tactical opportunities to drive growth.
Execution:
- Assist the Manager, BB Fuel to develop world-class brand activation plans and media plans.
- Assist the Manager, BB Fuel to project manage execution plans for key marketing initiatives.
- Assist the Manager, BB Fuel to develop 12-month national Brand Activity plans that include innovation, renovation, and non-innovation-led growth activities.
- Assist the Manager, BB Fuel to develop annual communication plans partnering with the Channel, Trade Marketing, and CCM teams.
Tracking amp; Control:
- Track performance indicators of key initiatives for the Fuel brand.
- Manage relevant local BB Fuel Budgets.
Coaching and mentoring:
- Develop and train junior team members in the BB Fuel team.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with internal teams (Brand Development team, Channel teams, BULT, cross-functional teams,) as well as external stakeholders (local suppliers and agencies).
What you will do
- Proven experience and track record at Assistant Brand Manager level in Brand Building.
- Demonstrated success in creating world-class launches and implementing brand strategies across urban and rural areas.
- 3+ years of experience in mass market retail and or FMCG in global companies.
- Basic appreciation of brand building.
- University degree in a related field, with postgraduate degrees preferred.
- Comfort role modeling behaviors in line with KOKO culture, including leadership, professionalism, customer orientation, safety consciousness, and innovation.
- Ability to work in a self-led manner, in an environment with significant time pressure.
- Unquestionable integrity.
